Information about 2018 State and Federal Elections

State and Federal General Election: Tuesday, November 6

  • Close of Regular Voter Registration: Monday, October 9

  • Start of Late Voter Registration (In Person Only): Tuesday, October 10

  • Absentee Ballots Mailed: Friday, October 12

Step One: Find out if you are registered

The League of Women Voters of Billings supports the right of citizens to vote and promotes informed and active participation in government. Registering to vote is the first step to make your voice heard.

  • If you aren't registered to vote, this site will provide you with a registration form you can fill out, sign and mail in.

  • If you are registered to vote, you will find your Senate and House Districts at this site.

Step Two: Get informed!

Getting informed is the second step. We are all coming to understand that we can't rely on posts from unknown social media sources or negative advertising funded by big money in politics.

Once you know your Senate District and House District, you will need to know who is running in your district. (Some districts aren't having elections this cycle)

  • Most candidates have a webpage. Do an online search to get more information about their stand on important issues.
